Faculty positions

The Sidney Poitier New American Film School in the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts at Arizona State University seeks multiple part-time Film Faculty Associate positions for the Fall 2022 semester.

The successful candidate(s) will teach in-person or online courses, prepare course materials, evaluate student work, and assist students. Faculty Associate positions are one semester, non-benefits-eligible, fixed-term appointments with no tenure implications, not to exceed .40 FTE. The number of courses is contingent upon needs, funding and sufficient enrollment. Salary is based upon qualifications and assigned teaching load. Individuals employed as Faculty Associates may not hold multiple, non-benefits eligible appointments at Arizona State University.

The Sidney Poitier New American Film School at Arizona State University seeks a full-time Lecturer in film production oriented towards short-form production, speculative filmmaking practices, or emergent cinematic forms. This position will be appointed across two of ASU’s locations, ASU at Mesa City Center and the Tempe Campus. The start date for this position is August 16, 2022.

The Sidney Poitier New American Film School in the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts at Arizona State University invites applications for the position of Associate Director. The Associate Director will be located on the Tempe and Mesa campuses and will be hired at the rank of Professor. This is a full-time, fiscal-year faculty position with an administrative appointment, beginning July 2022 or thereafter.
