Schedule of Classes
| Film and Media Studies offers courses online and in the tradition “brick and mortar” environment. It is possible to complete all the requirements of the major in either traditional, distance learning (online) or blended formats. We also offer 16 week and 8 week courses in Fall and Spring. Eight week courses are compressed in the same way they are in summer: students earn three-credits in a shorter and thus more intense period of time. In fact, it's possible to take two or more back-to-back eight week distance learning courses in one semester. Students that do so will be expected to keep up with the fast-pace of these courses.
By offering courses in various formats and times, we hope to provide our students with as much flexibility as possible without sacrificing academic rigor. We cater to students on campus, working students, students at other campuses (ASU, UA and NAU), distance learning students and international students. Several of our students deployed overseas in the military or study abroad students are able to make progress toward their Film and Media Studies major thanks to the number of distance learning and compressed courses we offer throughout the year.
